Episode 40 Ty Stubblefield, BHA & Public Lands

From a single parent family growing up in Oregon USA, Ty always had a connection to the outdoors and an attraction to hunting.

From his first failed hunt, on Elk, he was commited to improving hunter education. This lead to a number of positions with not-for-profit associations working to improve hunting opportunities on Public Lands in Oregon.

All the while the fire in his gut to hunt burnt red hot. So much so that he left paid employment in the logging industry to establish his own logging company to enable him to better control when he could hunt.

Come 2008 and the Global Financial Crisis his hard earnt toil was sucked from beneath him. Yet, every cloud has a silver lining.

Now Ty resides, with his family, in Montana, a veritable Mecca for Hunters, and works as  Chapter Coordinator for Backcountry Hunters and Anglers.

So once again sit back, enjoy and thanks for listening.
